55 Days. Red Sails is an outstanding, slow bolting red loose-leaf lettuce that stays mild tasting for a long time without turning bitter.. It produces large, loose heads with extremely attractive reddish-maroon outer leaves. The leaves are crumpled, with frilled wavy margins and hold their color well, even during warm weather. Not mosaic tested.
