101 Days. We had many requests from our customers, particularly our Southern customers, to add Appalachian to our product line. Large, 20-25 lb. fruit with strong handles are produced on space-saving, semi-bush plants that have limited runners. Appalachian has a deep orange color and a thick, solid flesh but it is smoother and not as deeply ribbed as our Howden. Outstanding yields from this fine hybrid variety have been reported from Southern university trials and growers.
