Powdery mildew tolerant straightneck. 50 Days. Sun Ray is a yellow straightneck that produces high yields of very smooth squash that hold their diameter well without bulbing. The large bush type plants have shown good tolerance to powdery mildew and have an open habit, allowing for easy harvest. Sun Ray also has the precocious yellow gene, which will give the fruit a yellow stem and help mask the greening effects of cucumber mosaic virus and watermelon mosaic virus II on the fruit.
