110 Days. Growers looking to produce large size pumpkins for their roadside stands or farmers’markets will want to grow Big Moose. Its large vigorous vine produces very good yields of extra-large to very large fruit. The fruit have a medium red-orange color with occasional tan striping, slight ribs and an oblate to round shape. Depending on cultural practices, the fruit can weigh from 50 to more than 125 lbs. If you have a market for extra-large pumpkins, then Big Moose should be in your planting plans this year. Please note: A small percentage of the fruit will be a salmon color.
