For higher temperatures within the day and nighttime microenvironments, grow with Dupont 5131. This replacement for the former Typar row cover material exhibits advantages for better crop protection. It is a stronger material than Typar, and is approx. 10 mils thick. It has provided 5-6°F. of frost protection, and can enhance daytime growth by increasing temperatures as much as 10-15°F. or more, while transmitting approx. 68% of available light.
