Rutabaga

Rutabagas are quite high in food value, easily grown and store well to stretch your vegetables sales into the winter months. It was commonly prepared in combination with other vegetables, but is not well known or widely consumed in the USA. Its flavor is much like turnip, and can be used fresh or cooked.
