Western Type Melon
The Western type melon is the typical, round, lightly netted cantaloupe used for production in the Western U.S. and used for long-haul shipping. These types typically have a very tight seed cavity and concentrated fruit sets. Although these varieties are mainly grown in the Western U.S., they do grow well in the Northern and Eastern U.S. too.
Please note: All varieties are treated seed unless 'Untreated' appears in their name.
