The common name for Myosotis is Forget-Me-Not, and is typically perennial in nature, meaning they will flower only after a cold period (vernalization) initiates the flowering response. However, recent breeding has resulted in some varieties of Myosotis that will now bloom the first year the seed is sown, and should be considered an annual plant. The plants are covered with small, pale blue flowers and are reminiscent of old-fashioned, or ‘cottage’ gardens.
