Osteospermum (also known as Cape Daisy) is a lovely genus where plants are bushy and covered with beautiful daisy-like flowers in pure, clean colors. Most growers who produce Osteospermum are conditioned to order their Osteo's through liner programs, where the selection is vast and colors abound. Osteo's from seed traditionally have been scarce, with only mixes available, but the possibility to grow separate colors from seed is now starting to open up. For home gardeners, although Osteospermum (also known as Livingston Daisy) may be a little trickier to start and grow compared to other annuals, it is still very achievable, particularly with some of the newer varieties now available, such as the AAS award winning Asti White.
