Heirloom Tomato Seeds

Some say the flavor of the heirloom tomato is unmatched. Varieties have been introduced to our country by our forefathers many generations ago. It is likely that many of these varieties have been re-named by growers that cultivated them. Heirloom tomatoes have little to no disease resistance, so growing them on through a gardening season can be somewhat challenging, but when the effort is successful, the rewards are great.

The Harris Seeds company began catalog operation in 1879. It evolved from the efforts of Joseph Harris who was extremely successful in the selection of superior strains of vegetables and grains. The company became wildly popular because of his basic business philosophy - "Offer my customers a quality product at a fair price and they will return."
