These easy-to-use, all-natural Fertilizer Spikes deliver nutrients straight to the roots of vegetable plants. Pre-measured spikes eliminate mixing and messiness, and their nutrients release gradually over the season. While they fertilize, they help create richer soil by promoting beneficial microbial action. Use spikes early in season or after first flowers appear. Simply insert each spike 1" below the soil level, about 6-8" from the plant's stem. Apply 8 spikes per plant for tomatoes, peppers, and other widely-spaced vegetable plants. For closely-spaced vegetables in rows, use 8 spikes per square foot.
