Salvia

Planting Guide

S. superba (nemorosa)
28M seeds/oz.
Germination: Cover seed lightly; 68-72°F; 12-15 days
Sizes: Packs, Premium Packs; 4-10” pots
Approx. finish: 11-19 weeks

While most gardeners are probably more familiar with annual Salvia, growers and experienced gardeners also enjoy the merits of perennial Salvia (or Perennial Sage). Robust, clumping 22-24” plants produce long slender spikes of flowers from mid-late summer. The most common flower color is blue or purple, but there are also varieties that have flowers in the rose-pink color spectrum.
