Jewel is a customer favorite with large, shiny, sweet black berries. Its rich raspberry flavor makes your mouth water! An introduction from the New York Fruit Testing Station, the plants are highly disease resistant. Jewel, a cross between Bristol and Dundee, is now rated the best of all black raspberries. It produces high yields of superb quality firm berries. It is an excellent choice for use in jams and jellies, and blended into smoothies. This raspberry laughs at our harsh winters, and bounces. back after subzero cold. Jewel raspberries are recommended for both home and market growers. Height varies. Dark blue to black. June bearing. Harvest: Mid-season. Hardiness zones 4 to 8.
