Try Honeoye if you want the tastiest strawberries ever! This large, sweet as honey tasting strawberry variety gives "Honeoye" its name. Berries have a beautiful red color, and are the best variety for freezing. It has reigned as a yield king for many years. The world famous strawberry plant breeders at Geneva, New York Experiment Station knew they had a winning strawberry when they saw the large crimson red fruit. The flavor is excellent, sweet, and highly aromatic. It is highly resistant to disease, and with a long two week harvest period, it offers an ample amount of fruit. June bearing. Early-Mid season. Hardiness zones 2-9.
