In mixed containers, its stiff upright foliage makes it an excellent substitute item for Dracaena spike, since it is by far a better germinator and finishes within 15 weeks vs. 15 months for Dracaena. As a sun-loving plant, the attractive foliage turn bluer under higher light intensity.
