Earli Dew is the earliest round, 2-1/2 to 3 lb. creamy-green honeydew hybrid we've seen. The smooth melons have a distinctive lime green flesh of excellent flavor and texture. Earli-dew slips at maturity like a muskmelon. Intermediate resistance to fusarium wilt (race 2).

Florida ready melons

"My 1st successful honeydew in Florida! Small but sweet, juicy, and delicious, and more importantly - it is a melon resistant to the extreme intense pest/disease pressure of central Florida. I’ll be growing this again for sure."

"Vines are vigorous and fruit are beginning to form."

Best tasting easiest to grow

"I've grown Earli Dew for 3 yrs all the while trying others but never had the success I have with Earli Dew. They are healthy extremely productive plants that grow up up fence to save space. Its early September & here in zone 6 they are still flourishing. The taste is unbelievable sweet juicy melons every time. They are fairly disease resistant as long as you hit them with wetable sulfer for powdery mildew. I find the sulfer stops PM in its tracks. Grow these babies you WON'T be disappointed."

Q&A

When are they ready to harvest?
Hi Aleta, Thanks for reaching out. Earli Dew is a melon variety that should "slip" from the vine when it is ready to harvest. This means that when you pick it up and give it a gently pull the vine should separate from the melon without any struggle. If you have to pull or fuss with it to get it free from the vine, it is not ready. We hope this helps and happy growing!
