Widely grown for plant sales and roadside. For plant sales and fresh market, this is a great one to follow Jet Star. Supersonic produces heavy yields of large, meaty tomatoes of excellent quality. Fruit are deeply oblate in shape, smooth and quite crack free. Use ground or stake culture for this indeterminate plant.

Supersonic Tomatoes Big or Small?

"I grew nice, big, tasty Supersonic Tomatoes in the 1990's early 2000's, then didn't have a veggie garden until 2022 at a different home. The Supersonic seeds (from a small seed company source that proclaimed large tomatoes) I grew produced 3" diameter tomatoes. I tried a different small company source proclaiming large Supersonics for 2023. Still 3" tomatoes. Someone I gave Supersonic plants to also have 3" tomatoes. The plants are growing over 7 feet tall and loaded with tomatoes all the way from bottom to top and next to Kellogg's Orange Breakfast tomatoes where some weigh close to 1 lb. So it's not the environment. I'm ordering them from Harris Seeds for next year because Harris developed Supersonic and I can be sure I'm getting the correct seed. Hopefully they'll stay in my garden after that."

Supersonic = super crop

"A beautiful large tomato that is free of cracks and very hardy. I grow these every year by starting them in the house and transplanting to larger cups until they go in the garden. I sucker to allow only one main stem to produce large beautiful fruit. We can them for winter meals and make spaghetti sauce and freeze in quart bags for some fine eating in the winter. Great eating sliced fresh or in salads."

Best tomato ever

"I live in Florida and therefore must plant in the fall. I start the seeds in October and achieve a 90 - 95% germination. When they are planted, they grow quickly and produce absolutely yummy tomatoes"
