With rich sweet blueberries, Sunshine Blue has it all. This semi-dwarf, versatile evergreen features showy hot pink flowers that fade to white in spring, yielding large crops of delicious berries. Sunshine Blue tolerates higher pH soils better than many other blueberries and it is self-pollinating. Ideal for Southern gardens, yet still cold hardy enough to perform in much of the North as well. Prune branches back about ½ their length at planting time with no further pruning required the next 3 years. Prune Sunshine Blue blueberry plants annually thereafter during the dormant period. Southern highbush, 3’, upright compact bush habit. Harvest mid-to-late season. Hardiness zones 5-10.
