Ukranian Red is a Rocambole type hardeck variety. Large size, flattened bulbs contain 4-7 large cloves with a slightly reddish color. This garlic has a strong, full flavor and aroma. Rocambole type garlic scapes typically loop twice and are known for their rich flavor. Scapes can be harvested and used for cooking before the garlic itself is actually harvested. Medium term storage. Hardiness zones 3-8. Bulb size 1.5-2".
