Having a filter on your drip irrigation system is highly recommended as filters keep larger particles from passing into your drip tape and emitters causing them to become plugged. Filter can be used with 1", ¾", and ½" main line systems by using a ¾" female to tape lock adaptor (items 40193, 40194, 40195). Filter housing comes with filter.

Q: Which end of the filter does the end cap go on ----the end facing the flush valve or the other end?
A: Hi Sky, Water flows in from the top (single ended side) and out to the header pipe through the side opposite the filter. The outlet on the end of the filter housing is capped or a ball valve attached to quickly flush the filter.
