This second-early variety offers a first-rate way to follow Primo Red. The determinate plants produce outstanding yields of large to extra-large fruit with very good eating quality. The globe-shaped fruit ripen uniformly to a deep red color for great eye-appeal. Red Deuce lends itself well to stake cultivation and has high resistance to Al, F1, F2, Vt, and TMV. A favorite of Harris customers and a consistently reliable performer.

Red Deuce

"I bought these seeds to grow for a friend next year. I decided to grow one plant to try them out. The plant grew just fine, and produced multiple fruit. I was surprised at how meaty the tomatoes are. The tomatoes are very low in acid with a good flavor. Definitely one of my favorites now."

Our Top Choice!

"Our top choice each year is the Red Deuce tomato. It is a consistent producer on strong bushes tough enough for our central Texas weather. I am always pleased with the service of Harris, especially the seed quality every year. I know I can count on them to have what I need to start each season in confidence."

Q&A

Hello. I am interested in some red deuce tomato seeds to start in my greenhouse in late February. Do you have the seeds available to ship in December? Or do you have seeds now that would keep until them? Also, what is the difference between treated, pelletized, etc. Thank you.
Hi Lisa, Thank you for reaching out. We do have Red Deuce tomato seed in stock and available for purchase. Any seed purchased now would be more than suitable for use in February. To answer your questions about the different ways we offer Red Deuce seed, "treated" and "untreated" simply refers to the seed being treated with a fungicide coat that would protect the seed in the germination stages from any mold, fungal, or soil based bacterial rot that it may be susceptible to. Untreated is the absence of this treatment. Pelleted seed is a cluster of several seeds held together with organic matter for optimal germination purposes. This is great for growers that don't have time to go back and reseed cell trays that didn't germinate properly. We hope this information helps and we wish you a wonderful growing season. https://www.harrisseeds.com/pages/search-results-page?q=shock%20wave
