Echinacea (or Coneflower) is one of those grand perennials that is considered a perennial garden staple. Plant heights can range from dwarf to tall, depending on variety, and produce daisy-like cone-shaped flowers. The most common flower color is purple, but other colors have recently come onto the market. This North American native thrives in hot and sunny conditions and withstands drought conditions more so than most other perennials. A long season bloomer (mid-summer to early fall), the taller varieties make excellent cut and dried flowers, and the flower cone that ultimately produces seeds are a magnet for both butterflies and birds.
For professional growers looking for flower colors other than purple or white please be sure to refer to our Plug & Liner program.
