Kennebec is making quite an imprint on the culinary world. The days of "just use any old potato" for French fries are gone and finer restaurants are switching over to Kennebec. It is a large potato, with light tan skin, uniform appearance, and attractive white fleshy insides. It is ideal for baking or chipping. Its thin skin peels quickly, and it is fine to use unpeeled. Its nice oval shape is more attractive on the plate than some other irregularly-shaped potatoes. It is dependable, high-yielding, resistant to blight and other diseases, and stores very well. Maturity: 90-100 days. Hardiness zones 3-9. Not available for shipping to ID and MT.
Supplied as Grade B seed potato, 15 bags each containing 3 lbs or approximately 15- 20 seed potatoes. < BR>
Note: A $225.00 minimum order on items supplied by De Groot is required.
Starts shipping late March. Sorry, we cannot ship this item to ID or MT.
