Very sweet. 68 Days. Nantes carrots have a well-deserved reputation for fine flavor and attractive appearance, and this strain has proved exceptionally popular. It is tender and crisp with delightful sweetness, especially when young, and the interiors are brightly colored. Somewhat shorter than Pioneer (5-6 in.) and with smaller tops, they rank high among the open-pollinated types for home and roadside use. Fine for freezing, too.
