Heat Mats & Cables

Proper soil temperature conditions for seed germination are a must for any grower. Normal greenhouse or room air temperatures are usually not high enough to compensate for the increased soil temperatures needed for seed starting. We suggest setting up a separate “germination area” to create these ideal conditions.

Two great methods of creating proper soil temperatures for germination are heat mats and heat cables. Heat mats allow you to set your seed starting trays right on the mat to warm the soil while heat cables can be placed inside your tray to heat the soil or used to make a germination bed.
