Lavender is a highly popular perennial that is used in both perennial and herb gardens. Considered an ‘evergreen shrub’, there are a number of different species, and hundreds of cultivars. Tiny tubular flowers in shades of blue, purple or white are set on numerous stems that cover the plants. The flowers are often cut and dried for use in dried flower arrangements or potpourri. Plant height can vary between 1-3 ft. depending on species and cultivar.
