BioStrate is compostable; however, it will maintain its structural integrity for the life of your crop and won’t clog filters. The amount of water will vary depending on the system used. The felt should be kept moist, not saturated. Water level should not be higher than the top of the medium. - Hi John, thank you for contacting us. Biostrate 185 Felt Sheets work best for single use as the root penetration from the microgreen crop does not allow for multiple uses. In addition, trying to use the same sheet multiple times in a row can lead to increased chance of spreading mold spores through your microgreen crop. These sheets are biodegradable and can be composted. They are available in 10, 50 or 300 count.
- Does it have Hemp in it. I am allergic to Hemp. I was looking for an organic coir product when I came upon this.
- Hi Barb, The Biostrate sheets used to have hemp in them a while back, but they no longer do, per the manufacturer.
