Solstice muskmelon is a large fruited melon that has the look of the old "Eastern" type melons, but offers the full disease package that is found in today's newer hybrids. Solstice produces huge 7 to 9 lb. fruit that have deep sutures and heavy, ropey netting. Big yields and outstanding eating quality have been noted in our test plots. Its disease package includes resistance to Fusarium wilt (races 0, 1 and 2) and Powdery Mildew (races 1 and 2). If your markets still demand deep ribbed melons with heavy netting, then Solstice should be in your planting plans this year.

"Great Melon, growth, no disease issues, and great flavor ! Have been trying to unfortunately find a replacement for Super Star, and this is as close as to it I have come. Always had people ask why I quit growing Super Star, because they discontinued the seeds, still my favorite, but Solstice is probably as close to it as is out there."
