Highly recommend

"I highly recommend basil prospera. I started growing it a couple years ago when I lost an entire 10 foot row of basil in one week due to basil downy mildew. This variety is resistant to that disease and stays healthy right up until frost. It's slow to bolt too."

"I highly recommend this cultivar. It has classic taste, appearance and growth habit, combined with extraordinary downy mildew resistance. I grew multiple varieties of sweet basil in side by side patches last year. They all thrived until high summer, when downy mildew hit and wiped out almost all of them. Mrihani (a naturally resistant sweet basil from Zanzibar) and Prospera were surrounded by infected plants but remained completely unaffected."

Q&A

When to plant
Hello! Thank you for reaching out. Prospera Premium Basil has a maturation rate of 70 days. This means you will need to count back 70 days from your preferred harvest date and start your seeds then. Keep in mind that basil is very heat sensitive so it should be started indoors if temps are not warm enough. We hope this helps!
