Protect your cucurbit cops from this destructive vine borer. In the early days of summer, late June or early July, Squash Vine Borer adults emerge from their winter cocoons in the ground. The adults start to lay eggs at the base of vine plants. Hang traps at 2-3' height, 5-10' away from grow area to draw borer moths away. Place with care to avoid wind and rain as possible. Use one trap + lure per 100-150 square feet of planted area. Deploy traps at first planting, replacing traps as needed through August for best results. Lure lasts for approximately 6-8 weeks. The traps have a strong adhesive surface to retain captured Vine Borer Moths, they cannot escape once stuck to the trap. 100% safe for pets, nontoxic.

2 traps and pheromone attractants per package.

Excellent product. These traps are

"Excellent product. These traps are very successful at trapping Squash Vine Borer Moths and have allowed me to have a large squash harvest every year since I began using them in my garden. They are an important part of my organic pest management strategy. It should be mentioned that to avoid collateral damage (birds caught in trap) plastic netting with 7/8 to 1 inch openings should cover the trap openings."

Vine borer trap

"seems to be working as I have seen several moths in the trap, too early to tell how effective it will be, still early in the season to determine how much damage to the plants will occur."

Q&A

Does this trap also catch night moths, or honeybees?
Hi there! The attractant is designed to attract only the squash vine borer and does not affect honeybees. We cannot confirm the night moths specifically will not be trapped, but we've never had any complaints about innocent insects being affected.
how can I purchase refill attractant cores for this product?
Hi William! We do not sell refill cores from the manufacturer of this product. To our knowledge, there aren't any available. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Will other no pest bugs be stuck to the trap. 😔
Hello! Thank you for reaching out. When used as directed, it is unlikely (but not impossible), that this product would affect other insects such as pollinators. Proper placement is key with these traps. We hope this helps. Happy growing!
