No more tangled plants! The compact habit and short internodes make this new Ivy Geranium easy to grow. For landscapes, containers and baskets, Reach Out provides a canopy of color. Ivy geraniums have waxy leaves and flower heads that are not as large or globular as common geraniums, but still cover plants nicely. Their trailing habit makes them particularly suitable for containers, window boxes, and hanging baskets.

Color: Lavender, pink, red, and white shades.

I absolutely love these flowers.

"I absolutely love these flowers. I am struggling to find more seeds 😫"

Reach out geranium

"I started only a couple of these plants, they didn't look very interesting in the picture. I was wrong, they are beautiful, blooming like crazy, and are a wonderful change from my usual hanging petunias. I'm starting many more this next year, but need to start them sooner, as they only started heavy blooming in the latter part of summer."

trailing geraniums

"geranium seeds, all sprouted, all healthy, all blossoming, but all are red !"

Long blooming

"Reach out is base branching and floriferous. I use them in window boxes that receive a half day of sunlight. They can hang as much as 30 inches by early autumn. From March sown seed flowering begins in June. Flowers continue into cooler weather . I have grown them for three years and it is normal to have flowers until hard freezing. One year through Christmas here in NYC. They seem to be able to survive upper 20s in window boxes against the brick walls of our townhouse. Colours are bright . Flower clusters are looser than vegetatively propagated strains. To my mind more attractive. I receive many compliments from passers by."

100% of the three seeds that I planted this year germinated.

"I planted a few of these seeds last year in midsummer. A few lovely geranium blooms appeared then frost took them out. This year I planted three seeds in May, all of which sprouted, so, 100% germination for my tiny sample. I did use a bottom layer of Miracle Gro then a top layer of seed starting formula as I know geraniums can be susceptible to fungus problems. Seeds started indoors in my home need to be able to resist fungus gnat problems, so I plant such seeds outdoors when the weather permits. For now I'm looking forward to healthy plants with beautiful flowers by the end of July or August."

FUN!

"I was desperate for a trailing geranium and decided to try to start them by seeds. I start lots of flowers from seed - but geraniums seemed too daunting for me. EXCITIING news - they all germinated! I wish I’d started them in February and not April - but all in all it’s been fun. I'll definitely try them next year. With they could offer Summer Showers, it's a popular trailing geranium in Northern Europe."
