This striking decorative pumpkin boasts a vibrant orange and yellow striped pattern that is great for roadside sales or as an addition to mixed bins. The medium 9 lb. fruit have a flattened round shape and strong dark green stem with excellent contrast. As fruit mature, stripes transition from green to orange on an unchanging yellow background. Productive plants offer intermediate resistance to Powdery Mildew and Zucchini Mosaic Virus.

Pumpkins ‘o Many

"Last year I purchased a few Fireballs in our first year as a u-pick farm. They were sold in the first week. This year I planted 5x more on our Sasquash Pumpkin Farm. They are doing even better with dozens of healthy fruit - many as big as basketballs. The treated seed seems to help greatly with yielding healthy plant growth. Would highly recommend this seed and this variety."

These were excellent. Every mound

"These were excellent. Every mound produced several pumpkins."

COREY J. (5/5)

Great yields, inaccurate description

"This is our second year planting Fireballs and they'll definitely stay in our rotation. They have great germination, high yields, and customers love the color and texture combo. However, almost none of our pumpkins in either year were round or squatty. They're nearly all oblong and tall. Also, in both years we planted based on a 110 day maturity, but the real maturity was much closer to 85 or 90, meaning they were ready several weeks before our pumpkin sales season even started. They're also a semi-bush, which is a great plus, but for some reason isn't even mentioned here."

Great colors

"They were productive and great fall colors."

Fun

"So are they yellow pumpkins with orange stripes or orange pumpkins with yellow stripes? Very good size."

Fireball Pumpkins

"I planted 25pumpkin seeds and all 25 seeds sprouted. I live in NM and I did not plant these until July (next year I will plant in May). Eight of the crop still grew pumpkins, which I thought was good since I planted too late. This was a great experience!"

Q&A

What is the shell hardness on this variety? I dropped Johnny's Blaze variety cause I had too much rot at retail & switched over to Warty Gnome, no rot. Also, any research work on getting a more rugged Snowball handle.
Hello! Thank you for reaching out. As far as shell thickness, Fireball F1 is going to very similar to Blaze. They are both thin walled but rot can be delayed or prevented entirely with proper curing. If you are looking for a small white with a sturdier handle, we would recommend our Snowdrop variety. It is similar to Snowball in size and asthetic, but with a much thicker vine.
Is this a good baking pumpkin too?
Hello! Pumpkin Fireball is not a pie/baking variety. It has thinner outter walls with very little meat. We recommend either our Pumpkin Winter Luxury Pie or Pumpkin Small Sugar. Both are excellent for baking.
How many seeds per pound on the pumpkin fireball?
Hi Brandi, There are approx. 4,930 Fireball pumpkin seeds per pound.
