"Doing very well in the garden. I can't wait until they are ready to pick."

Finally a squash that squash haters can love

"I have always hated the taste of squash…summer squash, winter squash…zucchini, yellow squash, pattypan, butternut, all of it. I could never get past that distinctly squashy taste. Blech. Enter Hamilton Squash! No squashy taste. None. Juicy, bright orange flesh. I love it as homemade skinny fries, as garlic and oil roasted cubes, on a galette with caramelized onions. I nearly wept when I cooked up the last ones since I knew it would be months before I would have more. If we wait to plant til July 1st, we’re spared the nasty squash bugs here in zone 7 and the crop grows trouble free til October harvest."
