Germination

"The germination was excellent unlike the seed I got a year earlier from a different company where it was very poor. I will buy from Harris again!"

Great Cool Soil Germination

"I have grown this corn before, so I know. It is tender, sweet, and has great holding qualities. And the best part is that it will germinate in less than warm soils so you can plant a little earlier."

Daniel K. (5/5)

Reliable germination in cool temps!

"Loved the flavor and the reliability of this product. Germination at colder temps was excellent with mosaic virus resistance!"

Corn did not get to

"Corn did not get to produce. Started well. Not it's fault. Weather . No rain.self watered both plots. Also had big raccoon problem and nothing deterred them!. Completely lost both plantings!! Same for Cumberland"

Carol S. (3/5)

poor harvest

"I usually have great luck with Harris seeds but the Sweet corn temptress F1 seed has produced short stalks with thin corn. Will be going back to my old picks for corn next year. Couldve been my fertilization times but the other seeds in my garden are doing really well. A little confused. O well! Will still be purchasing from Harris though!"

Q&A

is your all your seeds treated like corn, beans peas ect. looking for next year planting
We do sell several varieties in untreated or organic. As you look through the website, each variety listing will indicate forms available for that variety. If you need additional help, feel free to reach out to our customer service team at 800.544.7938 .
are my Temptress corn seeds a SU or SE variety? Or something else?
Hi Steve! Excellent question! Temptress is a synergistic variety which means it includes a combination of su, sh2, and se genes. We hope this helps!
Growing great so far...especially with a cold early season in the Northwest. My plant are very light green. Wondering if its a nitrogen issue or if this variety is generally lighter. It would be great to have a picture of the plant near maturity on the description.
Hello, thank you for contacting us. While a nitrogen nutrient deficiency may present with lighter green leaves there are other issues that may look like this as well. We recommend that you contact your local agriculture extension office and and obtain a foliar sample of your plants and also a soil test to best determine what is occurring in your sweet corn.
