Excellent

"We tried these out in 2021. Excellent smaller pumpkin with great color. Stems are very hard and nearly unbreakable. Looks great next to other pie pumpkins. Will definitely be doubling up next year!"

Q&A

Are the hot chocolate pumpkin good for pies?
Hello! Thank you for reaching out! Excellent question. Hot chocolate is bred for ornamental purposes. It is thin walled and would not provide much meat. It also hasn't been bred for flavor so it wouldn't make a very good pie pumpkin. If you're looking for a stunning ornamental that could also be used for pies and desserts, check out our Autumn Frost winter squash. It is excellent in pies!
