A traditional "Hatch" chile pepper, Big Jim sets heavy yields of large green peppers with medium heat (500-3,000 Scoville units). The peppers are most commonly picked green for roasting, but they will ripen to red. Fruit can reach an impressive length of up to 12", so plants may require some support.
