Bred for the spring pansy market, Spring Matrix has all the same desirable plant characteristics of Matrix such as robust habit, better branching, and short flower peduncles; and now delivers earlier flowering for spring sales. Bred to flower under shorter days and a cooler growing regime, growers can reduce their spring crop time by about two weeks compared to Matrix. The flowers of Spring Matrix have large thick petals that help prevent blooms from flopping over which often occurs with winter/spring pansies.
