Standard gold f1

"I planted this corn as I normally do. I also planted the bi-color corn purchased from Harris the same: day; field; depth; fertilizer; seed rate; etc. The standard gold only had approximately a 2% germination rate vs the bi-color having a normal 90-95% germination rate. I inspected the seed rows to try to determine if the seed had possibly been damaged, mold, diseased, etc. . The seed just did not germinate. The kernels were completely intact and swelled from moisture but no sprout evident. I disced the field side that had the standard gold and replanted with serendipity from another seed company. I was disappointed with the result of this product I purchased from Harris. In the past, my experience in trying to resolve seed issues, has always ended with a representative of the business I purchased the seed from, telling me that I did something wrong, or planted the seed then had some weather condition that rendered the germ inactive etc. so rather than give someone the opportunity to insult or ignore me, I chose not to try resolving the issue. In years past this corn was fantastic in every aspect, however I will not buy this product ever again. I cannot sustain a loss of this level, just to help supply my family and friends in the area with corn to freeze. That is my review."
