Kratos offers growers a large handled pumpkin, with intermediate resistance to powdery mildew that matures 2 weeks earlier than most of our other large fruited varieties. Strong vines with a semi-vine growth habit produce 20-30 lb. fruit that have a flat-round shape, medium ribbing and large, firmly attached handles. The fruit have a medium-dark orange color. Good yield potential has been noted on Kratos in our test plots.

Experience was Good

"I like several of your pumpkins but the prices are just too high compared to Johnny's or Berlin Seeds. I did order one that I could not find elsewhere but that was also out of my price range. I would use Harris Seeds more if the prices were not so high. No issues with experience as things were worked well last year which was my first time. I did order 3 items this year. Thank you!"

Perfect roadside stand pumpkin.

"Kratos were referred to me by another farmer on a subreddit. They were prolific and stayed pretty compact compared to some heavy long vining varieties. We will be replanting each year. Great color, size, handle. Not as heavy as you would think when you pick it up."

Mary Y. (5/5)

A all around perfect pumpkin.

"A fantastic compact plant. The pumpkins have good size, good handles, and good color. Also PM resistant so that is another great plus! Yield is good for the footprint they take up. Had 100% germination. Will be ordering them every year from now on!"

I love these pumpkins

"Strong plants, large leaves and big round pumpkins about 10-20 pounds. Large strong stems make good handles. Vines continue to run and set smaller pumpkins if you let them. Seems very resistant to powdery mildew. Thick flesh. I use as jack-o-lanterns for my grandchildren. I don't eat them so I cannot comment as to taste, but uncarved they are long lasting and store well."

Q&A

Are Kratos pumpkins considered field pumpkins or jack o lantern ?
Kratos pumpkins are considered jack-o'-lantern pumpkins. They are typically grown for decorative purposes, particularly for carving during Halloween, and are known for their size, shape, and vibrant orange color, which makes them ideal for this use. Field pumpkins, on the other hand, are usually grown for livestock feed or processing and tend to be larger and less aesthetically uniform compared to jack-o'-lantern varieties.
Hi are the kratos seeds available in the UK?
