Sakata Harvest Collection

Jambalaya 2.0 is an extra-early maturing okra variety that offers high yields of very uniform, shiny, dark green pods. Try growing this culinary delicacy! It's especially mouthwatering when fried, cooked, pickled or incorporated raw into a salad. The uniform shape of jambalaya okra also makes it perfect for pickling, as its smaller pods are more suitable for this application. Okra is high in soluble fiber and antioxidants while also containing a number of essential minerals.

Jambalaya 2.0 okra seed produces compact plants that can grow up to 3 to 5 inches tall. Okra grows quickly and it is best to harvest the plant when it is 3 or 4 inches tall and the fruit is still tender. Succession planting throughout warmer months works best because the plant becomes less productive when it is tall, making harvesting more challenging. Plant transplants when soil is warm. Plants require full sun and even moisture. Sow seed indoors 4-6 weeks before the last frost date. Harden off seedlings outdoors 1-2 weeks prior to transplanting. Plant carefully to avoid damaging the stems.

With our Jambalaya 2.0 okra seed, you can enjoy a summer-long harvest that won't overgrow your space.

Excellent Quantity

"They just never seem to stop producing… we cut them at 2.5-3” and freeze them for later use in soups or stews. Wonderful …. huge hardy plants. I have to rinse the ants off them daily but no other problems. Will will definitely raise them again 🙂"

Okra jambalaya

"I'm already harvesting a small amount and it's still May. The color was so much brighter than other varieties. Also, cherry profusion zinnias are so beautiful"
