Q&A

Are they climbers?
This Cucumber is a moderate climber, it will want to sprawl more than climb but can be trained with some effort (we recommend these: https://www.harrisseeds.com/products/41207-plant-hanger-vine-clips-15mm?variant=28921594513) )
What is the film coating on the seeds?
Filmcoated seed has been coated with an inert, food-grade material for easier handling and flowability. When treated seed is filmcoated, the filmcoat helps the treatment adhere to the seed. FarMore Treatment offers a first line of defense against several key seed and seedling diseases and insects.
Since this cucumber is gynoecious do you recommend a pollinator?
Hi Amy, Thank you for contacting us. Yes, you are correct. Because Citadel is a gynoecious variety, a pollinizer is required to help this variety set fruit. But don't worry! The pollinizer variety is premixed with the seed so you don't need to do anything extra. If you have any other questions please let us know.
Are they good for canning pickles?
Hi Patricia, Yes, Citadel is a great variety for canning pickles.
