New Ace has been a standard early variety for years. It’s one of the earliest peppers to mature and has been a consistent producer of good yields, even when others have not set fruit because of hot weather. Its 3 to 4 lobed fruit have medium thick walls and are sweet and tender. A good pepper for early market and bedding plant sales.

New Ace Reliability

"I have grown this pepper for many years. It has always been a reliable performer no matter the weather. Nice size and many peppers well into the fall. Good freezers. I have never had the germination problem that others have noted. Use Peat Pots for germination."

John M. (5/5)

New Ace Success

"This is the most reliable pepper I have ever grown. It sets peppers in any weather conditions. Produces late into the fall. Will mature to a bright red when left on the plant. Staking plants helps. Not the biggest pepper but nice size and freeze very well. Have never had a disease problem. Have lived on the east coast and Midwest. Give them a try"

Great pepper

"This is one of my favorite peppers and a must have in the garden. The seed pack says 50 but I had over 60 in mine. I had a near 100% germination rate. They sold great at farmers market, and are soo good in recipes that call for roasted red peppers."

R. D. (5/5)

Not the largest or most attractive, but very dependable.

"I've grown small amounts for years, and hundreds of boxes of the earlier "Ace". It is not loved by wholesale customers, but sells OK at the stand, especially when it is the only pepper that I have. For some reason I've never had much luck with any bell pepper except ace/new ace. (I'm zone 5, with a cold start, and hot/humid mid July) . IMO, for best results, start seeds on a heat mat to avoid low/slow/no germination."
