Goldfinger is an early Nantes type carrot that produces high quality roots that are uniform and attractive. It has strong, upright tops that have good bolting tolerance and its smooth roots have a dark orange exterior color. The roots have a small to medium core, good interior color and a sweet flavor. At high density planting the roots are 5 to 6" long and at normal planting density the roots are 7 to 8" in length. This is a beautiful carrot to use for baby carrot production or for bunched carrot sales.

Great little Carrot

"These are great. I planted them in Sept and have been harvesting them for about a month now. I am growing them in grow bags, and with the freezing below zero temps we have been getting I moved them into my greenhouse, so I am harvesting as I want. These carrots are beautiful, tender, and sweet. Will be planting more as soon as I can."

Carrots

"Slow to germinate but now growing. Still too small to taste but can't wait."

Got a late start for this growing season

"I planted Goldfinger in late Spring where some older seed failed to start. Last week we dug carrots and were delighted with the beautiful, straight, smooth, well developed Goldfingers. Plan to start some on time next Spring."

Q&A

What are the Carrot Goldfinger F1 pelleted seeds treated with?
Hi Peter, They are treated with Rovral and Thiram fungicides, in addition to the pellet coating.
Goldfinger F1, can you explain what pelleted seed only means? also do you have green been seed that is treated? also do you have treated sweet corn seed? Thank you: Charlie
Hi Charlie, Carrot Goldfinger now comes in both pelleted and non-pelleted seed options. It's no longer "pelleted only". Sorry for the confusion. Pelleted seed has been coated with an inert material in order to increase the seed size for easier planting. Most of our beans and sweet corn have treated options. You will see the seed type under the name of the variety on the product page. If there are multiple seed types available, you may choose your seed type from the dropdowns on the product page. https://www.harrisseeds.com/collections/bean https://www.harrisseeds.com/collections/corn-sweet-corn
