Moonshine is a full season yellow supersweet that has very good early season seed vigor and excellent yield potential. It produces short shanked, well filled, 8" ears with 16-18 rows of bright yellow, deep kernels on strong 7' plants. The attractive, medium-dark green husk protects that ear well over the tip and has plenty of dark green, long flag leaves. Intermediate resistance to rust (Rp1-d), Stewart's wilt and NCLB. Isolation required.

Probably best early season super sweet

"This corn tastes great just like the other reviews said. The tip fill is also excellent. My first two plantings could not be better. However, my later plantings produced smaller ears and were somewhat infected with smut. We did have a very wet late season. Still, I enjoyed corn into the third week of September, and the people I shared with were still telling me how great it was."

Just like watermelon

"I tried it and didn't grow that well cause of the dry spell and super high heat here in southern Indiana. The ones that did pulled through tasted sweet and juicy just like watermelon with a buttery aftertaste."

Moonshine sweet corn

"Haven't tried it yet or sold any because we're in Western Washington. It's been a really cold June but seems like it's starting to come along pretty well now. No ones fault but the weather. Same problem in Central Washington also."

I plant a garden each

"I plant a garden each year for our family and friends. I tried moonshine F1 seed last year and got, what I thought was a decent harvest, so I planted the same corn seed this year, but doubled the area. Again, I got a beautiful harvest of corn, large, full ears, which I had to share with others. I’m very impressed with this type of corn seed. I will purchase this seed again next year. Thank you, Gerry Sobieski"

Probably the best corn that

"Probably the best corn that I have ever planted. I gave away some and everyone said it was the sweetest and best they had ever eaten. One family said it was so sweet that they ate it as a dessert."

"Great Germination rate!!"

Moonshine is great!!!

"Grew fantastic with out pesticides or fertilizers… A lot of people we handed it out to said it was the best corn they’ve ever had. Only 20-30 ears out of about 6000 seeds we planted had bugs, most wars were medium to nice sized… Will be planting the same variety next year."

Great Tasting

"Did just under an acre of this and it turned out amazing. Been doing very well with it at the market."

Majer F. (5/5)

Producer!

"This is hands down the best tasting sweet corn on the planet. I planted this variety for the first time this year & couldn’t be happier with the results. What a producer of large ears of mouth watering deliciousness! My neighbors whom I shared the bounty with are reporting it’s the best they’ve ever had. Can’t wait to grow more next year!"

Really did well in my garden.

"I've been growing super sweet sh2 since my Father developed it at the University of Illinois back in the early 1950"s. Moonshine really worked well for me last year. Ears formed about waist level, stalks were strong, and corn was delicious. I recommend it."
