Hearty determinate plant

"It is not obvious from the website description that these are determinate-type tomatoes (it is obvious in the paper catalog, though, oops). I grew and pruned these on trellises with several indeterminate varieties and got an unpleasant surprise when they stopped growing. However, they did produce lovely fruit and demonstrated decent resistance to septoria leaf spot, which plagued my plantings this season. The did so well that I'm considering trying a few successions of determinates next year to save on trellising labor-- if I do, Galahad will definitely be my pick for a red slicer!"

Galahad F1

"Grew these for 2 years. Did well over all especially concerning the late blight. Did not produce as well as some other varieties I had planted and not quite as upright growing as I would like. Would grow this variety in a smaller garden setting."

Selected for Blight Resistance

"I selected this tomato for blight resistance. It still gets blight, however, the blight does not affect the tomatoes themselves. In other varieties, the blight spoiled the tomatoes themselves. Unfortunately, this variety suffers from blossom end rot for the first few weeks of harvest, but then eventually goes away. I like Damsel better. It also provides blight resistance, and it does not suffer from blossom end rot."
