We grew Rio Carnival, a short pot-type sunflower, in our trials last summer and agreed that it stood out among the rest of the short, dwarf varieties. Home owners enjoy high color impact and highly branched, free flowering plants. Teardrop petals are tipped in yellow, with a rich red center and dark red disk. As a pollen-free variety, the 5-7" flowers continue to offer a clean appearance. The shrub-like habit makes Rio Carnival a great border plant, but it shines as a pot production variety that can typically extend your market out well into mid-summer. Rio Carnival Sunflowers mature in approximately 55 days.

- Would this Sunflower be suitable for 6 inch pots? I grew both Bert and Smiley this way last year with good results.
