Grew well but really big flowers

"These grew very well but they are massive sunflowers. I was expecting a smaller variety by the photos. They are easily 7' tall with 1" round stalks on them."

sunfowers are so pretty

"We bought a lot of sunflower seeds so we could grow sunflowers for our daughters wedding. Unfortunately we only had 50% of them grow. We are not sure if conditions were too dry or too wet - or what happened. We love the ones that did grow but we also feel they grew taller and bigger than we expected. Perhaps we did not read the directions well enough. These were my favorite overall! so pretty!"

Cindy L. (5/5)

Great draw for deer

"Unfortunately only a few seed grew to maturity as the deer had a field day when they found the young tender plants. Those that did grow into full sunflowers were brilliant in color."

James C. (5/5)

Absolutely beautiful!

"I had a great germination rate and they were absolutely beautiful!"

Q&A

What is "Germination Required: Dark" mean? Can I just sow them in the soil when the soil warms up? I don't have anywhere to do seed trays.
Hi Laurie, "Germination dark", means seeds should be covered with soil (and not exposed to light) in order for germination to occur. Direct sowing of sunflowers is recommended over starting them in seed trays.
