Gold Crown’s excellent disease package and long shelf life allow for expanded market opportunities. The Western-type melons have dense ropey netting, no sutures, and the flesh is dark orange with a very tight cavity. Expect strong yields from plants with high resistance to Fusarium Wilt (races 0,2), Powdery Mildew (races 1,2) and tolerance to sulfur burn. Fruit mature in 85 days.
