This is the last season that Serrano Del Sol is available for sale, as the supplier has discontinued the variety. We feel that Sureño is a good substitute to use in its place. Sureño has a strong, upright growing plant that produces big yields of Serrano type fruit. The dark green fruit, which ripen red, measure 3-3/4 long x 1/2" wide and taper to a blunt point. The fruit are firm, during ripening and have a great Serrano flavor. Resistant to PVY (races 0,1,2).
Approximately 71,380 seeds per pound
Soil temperature: 75 - 80 degrees fahrenheit
Seeding depth: 0.25 - 0.5 inches
Germination days: 10 - 20 days
Grow on temperature day: 60 - 65 degrees fahrenheit

High yielding serrano
Review by Nty G. on 3 Feb 2019review stating High yielding serrano
This is the second year I've planted this variety and have been impressed with the yield and disease resistance. While all my other peppers have died due to too much rain, Sureno has not and is producing very well. Serrano peppers have become popular at our farmer's market the last few years.
