Super

"The germination rate of the seeds was not bad. Just keep in mind that begonias are very slow germinators and very slow growing seedlings and DO be sure to keep them covered with a dome or plastic wrap until they have germinated and perhaps for several weeks after. I just plan to wait a good month after sowing before I expect to see them germinate. I planted these in the front yard in a full sun location. I was very worried that they wouldn't do well because begonias generally like at least part shade if not full shade, but as it turned out we had a very rainy season all spring and summer and the skies were overcast just enough that it wasn't an issue for the earlier half of the season. Later in the season we did get more sun but the plants were so covered in blooms that the leaves didn't seem to scorch, they were shaded by blooms. It seems like typically the problem with begonias in full sun is that the leaves scorch. The plants really did quite well. I was very happy with them."
